Under-Utilization (uu50) Attendance Policy Has Been Cancelled As you may be aware, Governor Doyle signed the Budget Repair Bill (Special Session Assembly Bill 1) into law on Friday morning with specific veto language. The Governor’s veto keeps current language which would allow the Department to reinstate UU50 or another attendance based policy in the future through the Administrative Rule process if needed. In his veto message, the Governor directed DWD to suspend the Emergency Rule that authorizes the Underutilization (UU50) policy for the remainder of this fiscal year. Effective May 18, 2008 the Underutilization (UU50) policy is no longer in effect and enrollment authorizations will be paid at their full amount regardless of actual attendance. Note – UU50 policy still applies to attendance periods from March 30 through May 17, 2008. For more information about the Wisconsin Shares Subsidy Program please click here
